Swan River - Feb 8

Summary: River Cruise, walk around Perth
I'm under the weather, so I'll make this quick. We found a nice tour of the Swan River. We had a blast and Alex was (naturally) the star of the show, playing fill-in nephew and grandchild to several on the boat, as well as fill-in riverboat pilot, as the photo indicates. We visited a couple wineries and he was on fire. He didn't even nap, yet he was on his A-behavior all along. He just ran up and down the aisle without hitting any of the staff or other guests. It was a great time
Then, after the cruise, we walked up into town. We found a lane that is a mock up of a London alley (see the last photo). We went to this pub/restaurant called the Brass Monkey. The woman behind me in line noticed how well behaved he was. We struck up a conversation and Alex & I ended up joining her and her co-workers for a quick Bruschetta and Apple Juice. Her name is Regan and she sounded like an Australian, but was in fact a Texas A&M alum. Aneta and I visited Texas A&M for a football game along with several close friends of ours. We had been impressed by what great hosts the Aggies were, so I shared that with her. Anyhow, great group of folks (again!), but using the George Costanza rule (from Seinfeld) we took off while everyone was still happy to have interlopers.
Fun day.
